Automation and Remote Control of an Aquatic Harvester Electric Vehicle

Electric boats are evolving, following the trend of imposing electric powered vehicles in all transportation solutions. For a research project, reed and aquatic weed harvester, author’s goal is to develop an experimental electrical vehicle aimed at solving several particular problems such as: small speed, big throttle, high maneuverability, load capacity, draught affordable cost. The solution comprises one motor by converter supplied from Li-Ion batteries, which drives hydraulic pump for simultaneous operation two lateral-placed paddle wheels complex mechanism cutter conveyor. control system this consists remote controller, with bidirectional radio communication three on-board controllers used management electro-hydraulic actuators, battery storage system. hardware software architectures presented, underlining automated operations designed increase safety, maneuverability predictability vehicle. advantages use electronics increasing operability supervising available stored energy predicted consumption energy, fast assistance case operational failure using online diagnose optimization selecting best profile paddles. results validation proposed feasibility control.
